Oklahoma City police arrested a 45-year-old suspect accused of gunning down a man early Wednesday morning near the Paseo Arts District.
Neighbors called police around midnight to the 500 block of N.W. 30th Street near Walker. When officers arrived on the scene, they found 25-year-old victim Blake Friesen inside a car parked in a driveway. He'd been shot multiple times.
Paramedics rushed Friesen to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Officers then took William Harding, 45, into custody. He was originally called a "person of interest," but later in the morning, police arrested him and booked him into the Oklahoma County jail.
Police don't know yet what led to the shooting.
People in the area say the shooting has left them shaken and scared.
"I was just walking to the store and something told me to stop walking," said Kaylia Mosley Moore, who lives nearby. "And as soon as I turned around I heard about 6 or 7 gunshots. And I walked up the street and I stopped right there and they just had him in their lap, and his face was just... oh, it was horrible. It was the scariest thing I have ever seen."
