Tulsa Woman Arrested For Operating Unlicensed Daycare, Child Neglect

A woman who ran an in-home daycare in Tulsa is in the county jail without bond Thursday night.

Chelsea Day was arrested for child neglect and running an unlicensed daycare Thursday night.

News On 6 first told you about the case earlier this week.  The parents of 18-month-old Olyvia, say she came home with bruises, scratches and a black eye after staying at Mothers Love Babysitting, which they say was run by Day.

Investigators said Day moved from her residence at 5946 East 25th Place after the allegations of neglect came to light.

Department of Human Services workers went to a residence at 3303 South 140th East Avenue Thursday, where they say Day was operating an unlicensed daycare. They called for police because they say Day was refusing to cooperate with their investigation.

According to the arrest report, while the arresting officer and DHS were there, a parent showed up to pick up a child, which investigators say indicates Day was still operating her unlicensed daycare business.
