A Muskogee woman first exposed in a News On 6 exclusive has been indicted on 22 counts of defrauding couples hoping to adopt a baby.

Davanna Dotson is accused of claiming to at least 14 couples in six states that she had a child up for adoption, in order to get them to give her money.

The indictment says she always claimed to be in the same state as the couple, but she said she was stranded in Oklahoma and needed money for food, gas and baby items.

The couples wired her money, totaling around $3,000.

Dotson was arrested again last month, because, while out on bond, she was accused of running the same scam.
