Former TPS Athletic Director Facing Federal Charges

Former Tulsa Public Schools athletic director Stephanie Spring is facing federal charges.

Spring resigned a year ago.

The district opened an expansive investigation, looking into allegations of embezzlement and misappropriation of funds in August 2011.

The investigation began when TPS fired Cheryl Murphy, an assistant to Spring. She appealed the firing and later learned her emails may have been illegally accessed.
