A Tulsa man is being held on a $50,000 bond after police say he injured his 13-year-old son Friday evening. Terry Duane Landrum is in Tulsa County Jail for a complaint of child abuse by injury.
Tulsa Police say Landrum, 39, put his knee to his son's chest, pinning the teen down on the floor. He then used both fists to strike him in the face and choke him, the arrest report states.
The arresting officer said the boy had red marks on his face, behind his left ear and on his throat.
The boy complained of hearing loss in his left ear and was taken to the hospital to be checked out. A blow from the father perforated his son's eardrum, the report states.
Terry Landrum was convicted of domestic assault and battery in the presence of a minor child in 2001, possession of a controlled drug in 2002, resisting an officer in 2005 and possession of marijuana in 2007.
