Three of Oklahoma's Own are competing in the Bassmaster Classic this weekend.
Tommy Biffle, Jason Christie, and Edwin Evers all hope to make their home state proud. Evers knows a thing or two about competitive fishing.
He's fished in 167 tournaments and won nearly $2 million.
Photojournalist Todd Ruffin followed along as Evers launched into day one of the Classic.
At the end of day one, Evers is in 10th place, with his top five fish weighing in at 16 pounds and 13 ounces.
