Tulsa's Habitat for Humanity ReStore is making room in its warehouse for a huge donation.

The Leinbach Property Company owns several apartment complexes in Tulsa. It's owner, Ed Leinbach decided to buy new appliances for the apartments and donate the used ones to ReStore.

They're getting 342 sets, each of which includes a stove, refrigerator and dishwasher.

"When this project came up, Ed called and said 'You know, you guys were the first ones that I thought of,'" said ReStore Manager Lester Brown.

That's because ReStore has worked with Leinbach in the past. The store is similar to Goodwill, but it focuses on things like furniture, building materials and appliances. Everything is sold at a reduced price.

"We have a lot of our customers who come in that can't afford to go to a new store and pay for a new refrigerator," Brown said.

The dishwashers are going for $25 each. The stoves are $65 and refrigerators are $125.

"We're expecting to get somewhere around $75,000 in return on this donation," Brown said.

This will also extend the store's inventory supply by five months.

"We couldn't make it without businesses like them supporting us," Brown said.

Brown said it's things like this that make his job worth it.

"Every day is a new thing. We don't know what's going to be donated. We don't know where it's going to come from, but it seems like it always comes right when we need it," Brown said.

The appliances will go on sale Friday. All money from the ReStore goes toward building and renovating Habitat for Humanity homes.
