We have new information about 14-year-old murder suspect Joshua Mooney.

A judge ruled Wednesday at his preliminary hearing that his arrest in Sapulpa last winter, made by Tulsa County sheriff's deputies, was a legal arrest.

The judge also agreed to let Mooney's confession to deputies stand, so it can be admitted if there is a trial.

Mooney is accused of killing Mary Escue in her parents' Jenks home just a few days before Christmas.
