A tornado touched down in Broken Arrow Thursday evening, May 30, 2013.
SkyNews 6 captured pictures of the tornado near 95th and 23rd Street or County Line Road.
Broken Arrow Police say the storm continued northeast to the Creek Turnpike and Highway 51 area before heading east to the 8800 block of South 241st Street.
Video from SkyNews 6 Friday morning showed significant damage to several businesses near the Creek Turnpike and Highway 51, but a few nearby homes also received structural damage.
The storm ripped the roof off one Broken Arrow family's home on South 199th Street East.
Street signs were knocked down and trees split in half.
At Ron Robertson's home, family and friends had to put tarps on the roof after the tornado blew through.
"Talked to my wife and she said the house has been hit and thus far all we know is that my next door neighbor, who are my parents, lost part of their roof and have lost a couple of windows and we have some branches down, that kind of thing," said Ron Robertson.
The Robertsons say they have already contacted their insurance agent about the damage.
The Oklahoma National Guard arrived in the area to survey the damage and search damaged homes.
Broken Arrow Police says they have had no reported injuries as a result of the tornado.
The Red Cross says it has deployed 7 teams to survey the affected areas and assess damage and resident needs.
Based on that assessment, the Red Cross says it distributed clean-up supplies such as rakes, shovels, gloves and trash bags. As well as deliver meals in the affected neighborhoods.
