Man Drowns In Skiatook Lake

The Skiatook Fire Department said officials recovered a body about an hour and a half into the search.

A man drowned on Skiatook Lake on Sunday evening, authorities have confirmed.

The Skiatook Fire Department told News On 6 officials recovered a body at about 5:30 p.m., which was an hour and a half into the search.

Jeffrey Allen Clegg, 32, of Skiatook, dove from the cliffs and never resurfaced. Lake Patrol was able to use SONAR equipment to locate his body under 12 feet of water, a OHP report said.

The incident occurred in the Osage Park area, southeast of the Oklahoma 20 bridge.

Along with OHP, the Osage County Sheriff's Office, SFD and the Osage Nation police were on the scene to offer assistance.
