Police say the accident that killed an Oklahoma soldier in Glenpool appears to have been caused by inattentive driving.

Spc. Jonathan Harry, 28, of the Oklahoma National Guard, was killed when police say he unexpectedly crossed the median into the westbound lanes of West 151st Street South and was struck by a driver in a 2000 Chevy Lumina.

Police say the impact caused Harry's minivan to roll onto its roof. They believe Harry was killed immediately upon impact. Police note also that Harry was not wearing his seatbelt.

Two people in the other car were transported to a Tulsa hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Harry, who was off-duty at the time of his death, was a member of the 279th Infantry, part of the 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. He was assigned to the Broken Arrow National Guard unit.

Glenpool Police say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
