Students are returning to the Tulsa Community College downtown campus this week on a limited basis as the school reopens following a fire in June. Nearly 4,000 students, faculty and staff had been relocated to other campuses following the electrical fire June 17.
The school will transition employees back to the Metro Campus over the next two weeks, and the campus should be fully operational by August 5, according to a new release.

Staff will be assisting with fall enrollment including financial aid, academic advising, testing and bursar services. Fall class begin August 19.
Campus police found smoke coming from an equipment room just before 6 p.m. June 17. School officials say the fire was caused by a piece of electrical equipment. Since that time, the school says it has made repairs and restored damage. They also conducted "extensive equipment and environmental safety tests," the release states.
