It was a sign of progress as the I-44 Riverside Speedway, which took a direct hit by the May 20 tornado, reopens. And it's a big comeback.
Friday night, the track hosted its largest race ever with 162 cars.
The speedway is the only speedway in central Oklahoma. It saw a lot of damage in the wake of the tornado but the owner, Mark Banister, says he owes everything to the racing fans.

"During this interim of not racing, the Moore community and Oklahoma City community out here really pitched in and helped me with their donations and their time. They spent a lot of time out here," owner Mark Banister said.
Banister says the track is not at 100 percent, but with a little more work and time it will be soon.
