A concerned citizen jumped into action to try and follow suspects after an attempted robbery in midtown Tulsa on Wednesday.
Police said the driver followed behind on the Broken Arrow Expressway until one of the suspects pulled out a shotgun and pointed it at him.
Around 1 a.m., people were filling up their cars at Phillips 66 on 31st Street and Yale Avenue.
The told police two others offered them drugs. But when they declined, the men pulled gun and started shooting at the victim's car.
No one was hurt, but the men took off.
Meanwhile, another person drove by and saw it happening.
That man followed the suspects, which led to a two-mile chase down the BA Expressway. The suspects pulled out a shotgun while driving at a high speed.
Their car crashed near the BA and Sheridan Road, and several people got out and ran off. Police are still looking for them but were not immediately able to give a description.
He didn't want to go on camera, but we spoke to the man who followed them down the highway.
Police have used helicopters and K9 officers to try and find the suspects.
They've recovered some clothing and the shotgun that was left behind on the highway.
