Police Identify Man Murdered In West Tulsa Drive-By Shooting

Police have identified a man who was killed in a drive-by shooting in West Tulsa on Tuesday.

Police have identified a man who was killed in a drive-by shooting in West Tulsa on Tuesday.

A fight outside a home in the 5000 block of South 36th West Avenue escalated about 10:30 p.m., when someone inside a sport utility vehicle shot at Kendall Austin, 23, multiple times.

Police said someone in the crowd returned fire.

Austin was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Witnesses weren't able to provide much of a description of the shooters or the vehicle, other than the SUV was dark in color.

According to his Facebook page, Austin's daughter turned four years old on Monday. He also has a child on the way, friends say.
