Tulsa Police have made an arrest in connection with the city's latest homicide. Investigators say Monte Foreman died at a Tulsa hospital after he was shot just after midnight Sunday, October 27.
Joshua Qauyshaun Rogers, 21, was arrested and booked into jail Monday afternoon on complaints of first degree murder and concealing stolen property.
Police say Foreman, 37, was conscious and talking when police first arrived at the Studio 6 Motel at 8181 East 41st Street, just east of Memorial. According to an arrest report, officers found him inside a black 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS parked outside the motel.
Foreman told officers that he went to the motel to buy something and had been shot by a skinny black male, the report states. Police say they got a search warrant for Rogers' home based on data recovered from the victim's cell phone.

Monday afternoon, Tulsa Police homicide detectives and agents from the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force searched the suspect's home. Sergeant Dave Walker said they recovered evidence that linked Rogers to the murder. He was arrested after being questioned.
Walker said the investigation is still "very active." He said they know Rogers did not act alone.
The arrest report indicates that Rogers stole a Hyundai which he used that night. A woman's purse was taken during the auto theft and was recovered at Rogers' home.
