Six Investigates is tracking more fallout from fraud, waste and abuse in the government subsidized cell phone program called Lifeline.

The FCC has proposed $33 million in fines against three more cell phone companies for giving customers multiple cell phones when they're only allowed one.

One of the companies, True Wireless, could have to pay $5.5 million in fines, plus reimburse the feds for fraudulent accounts.

True Wireless is one of several companies 6 Investigates found handing out free cell phones to homeless populations in Oklahoma.

The company received $35 a month from the government for each account it started.
