A woman was arrested and booked into jail Tuesday night in connection with Tulsa's most recent homicide investigation.
Angel Proctor is being held without bond on a complaint of first degree murder and two complaints of assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
Monday night, police said Proctor was wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of Quinton Shaver. Another man, George July, had already been arrested for the murder, but police said they believed Proctor to be involved.
They were also looking for another woman, Michelle Ashlock, who they believed to be in danger. Ashlock was found Tuesday in an apartment in the 3300 block of East Skelly Drive. Detectives say she and another witness were pretty beaten up. They were both questioned and taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Ashlock and the other witness said they took Proctor's green Mitsubishi Galant while they were in Tahlequah after the murder, according to police.
Proctor, who is listed as homeless on the jail website, got a ride back to Tulsa. She was then located by the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force at a home in the 3100 block of East Latimer Place Tuesday and taken into custody. Police said the resident of the home made Proctor leave after seeing her on the news, so she went to a house down the street to stay with someone who knew her, but didn't know she was a suspect in the murder. It was there that she was arrested and taken downtown for questioning, police said.
Detectives are investigating the possibility that a woman known as "Rondie" was held captive, tied up and beaten by Proctor, on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Police are trying to identify Rondie, and say they would like to interview her.
Police say they believe there is only one murder victim, at this time, although they say George July and Angel Proctor are responsible for a number of violent crimes.
