A first degree murder charge against a Tulsa woman accused of stabbing a man to death in August 2011 was dismissed Wednesday.

Michelle Millikin, 22, was deemed incompetent to stand trial for first degree murder.

Gary Bailey, 59, died after he was stabbed in the chest. Police said his mother had asked him to come to her house after Millikin, who had reportedly caused trouble there before, showed up outside.

Bailey confronted Millikin and was stabbed, then he went into the house and said, "Michelle stabbed me in the heart," according to the police report.

Police said at the time that Millikin was a transient.

Court records show that Millikin has been found incompetent after each evaluation she's had over the past two years. Forensic examiners noted in her mental health evaluation that she seems to be of average intelligence, but suffers from severe mental illness and "cannot consult with her attorney to rationally assist in her own defense."

Millikin will remain at the Oklahoma Forensic Center for treatment.
