A 12-year-old yellow lab named Jewels got to meet some members of the Glenpool Fire department.
Jewels, is a 12-year-old mostly lab; a very lucky dog. A couple of weeks ago, on a Monday evening she was outside, in the water.

"At the end of that dock, out about 20 feet is where she was," said Lisa Stefanek, Jewels' owner.
Jewels and a black lab named Scout like to play in and around the water, and chase the geese and ducks. On that evening, Jewels didn't come back to the house.
"I hollered for Jewels, and I heard her go ‘woof,'" Stefanek said.
She found her dog in the pond. She'd fallen through the ice. Lisa called the Glenpool Fire Department.
A couple of them climbed aboard a paddle boat to get to the dog and Lisa started recording the whole thing on her cell phone.
"There was ice on the pond, she had fallen through," Stefanek said. "There was just a hole there she couldn't get out."
The two firefighters pulled Jewels out of the water and into the boat.
It was the Monday when we set a record morning low and barely got out of the single digits all day.
One of the other firefighters tossed the guys in the boat a rope to get them to shore.
"The firemen, they were awesome," Stefanek said.
And Jewels is pretty awesome too, and lucky to be alive, but she's doing great.
The firefighters have been studying up on their ice and water rescue procedures just in case Jewels finds herself in trouble again.
