Law enforcement officers are looking for two inmates who escaped from the Delaware County Jail in Jay early Wednesday.
Sheriff Harlan Moore said Pete Wolfe, 51, and Anthony Anderson, 22, escaped at about 1:45 a.m.
Moore said the men tied up the other two inmates in their cell, removed a steel grate from inside the window, then used the grate to break through the glass-block window and climb outside.
The sheriff believes the men have been planning this escape for a long time.
Wolfe is from Pryor and Anderson is from Sapulpa. He is 5-foot-5, 165 pounds and has tattoos on his neck, chest and stomach.
Court records show Wolfe was in jail on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and Anderson for second-degree rape.
Anderson is 5-foot-8, 150 pounds and has a tattoo on his back that says "Boogey Man."
Moore said deputies, Cherokee Nation Marshals and the Jay and Grove police departments are taking part in the search.
He says anyone who sees them should consider them armed and dangerous and should call 911.
Moore said investigators have found both sets of jail uniforms behind an abandoned house in Mayes County.
