Family Of Skiatook Double Homicide 'Living Nightmare They Can't Escape'

According to arrest records, the suspect in the Skiatook double homicide said he killed his great grandmother because he didn't want to do the dishes, but that's not what relatives are saying.

Devin Stanley's relatives said they won't reveal the motive they believe was behind the crime, but said it wasn't the dishes. Still, they said Stanley hurt the one person who loved him most.

It sounds like something out of a movie; a great grandmother was found stabbed to death in her home, then hours later her great granddaughter was also discovered dead.

The suspect, Devin Stanley, is related to both victims.

"It's just unreal. Every day we live this nightmare that we can't wake up from or escape," said family member Mindy McNac.

McNac can't wrap her mind around how this could happen to her family, Esther Driskell and Larisa Fraley.

According to police, Stanley admitted his great grandmother had, "been on him about 'things' and had been asking for him to do the dishes."

It said he got a small paring knife from the kitchen and stabbed Driskell seven times.

"It doesn't seem like the truth to me. I think that Devin just kind of goes from one story to another," McNac said.

The report also said Stanley's little sister was at home when this happened. He told investigators Fraley wanted to call the police and he said that, "he could not keep her with him forever like he wanted to."

Then they drove around in a van, which is the same van where Fraley's stabbed body was found.

"Larisa loved him with all her heart. He was her big brother. She would go anywhere with him, do anything with him. She really did love him a lot," said McNac.

The grieving family said what makes this crime so awful, is Driskell did everything for her great grandchildren.

"I just want everyone to know that my grandma was so kind and she was loyal to Devin. She was loyal to her family and her kindness is what killed her," McNac said. "She trusted him and she had her faith in him that he was going to be a better kid, and that's what happened to her."

McNac said she still loves Stanley, and what makes this harder to handle is the fact she not only lost two relatives, but also a third when Stanley was arrested.
