Tulsa Police Identify Woman Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver

Tulsa police have identified the woman killed by a hit and run driver Tuesday night.

They have identified the victim as Angela Marie Young, 57.

Young was using a walker to cross the intersection of Third Street and Lewis Avenue about 7 p.m. when a westbound vehicle hit and killed her, officers said.

Police said multiple people saw the incident and Young died in the street as a driver hit her and then sped away.

After taking a look at surveillance video from a nearby business, investigators said they believe the driver was in a white Ford Windstar minivan and that it could have front-end damage.

Police also said the video showed the driver most likely realized he or she hit something, because the minivan slowed down but then took off.
