The Oklahoma City Parks and Recreation Department is offering two camps for youth during the spring break, March 17-21.
Performing Arts Day Camp
Children ages six to 16 can take to the stage at the Northwest Optimist Community Center, 3301 N.W. Grand Blvd., during the "Spring Sing" performing arts day camp where acting, singing and dancing are all part of the weeklong activities.
The camp runs 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. A family-friendly performance will round out the week at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 21. The camp costs $90 per participant. To register for the camp, call the Northwest Optimist Community Center at 841-2412.
Recreation Day Camp
Sports, crafts and other activities are the name of the game during the OKC Parks and Recreation spring break camps offered at nine community recreation centers. Camps offer multiple activities for children ages six to 14 years old, including group and individual sports, arts and crafts activities, field trips plus other supervised fun. The camp runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and costs $25 per participant. Lunch and a snack will be provided by the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.
