The Tulsa County Fair Board has decided there will no longer be free parking on the county fairground during the busiest times at this year's Tulsa State Fair.
If you want a parking spot in the fairgrounds parking lots it could cost you $10 depending on when you come to the state fair. Anyone attending the fair after 5 p.m. during the week or on the weekend will now have to pay to park at the fairgrounds.
One reason for the charge is that the fair board wants visitors to use the free shuttle service they're providing. There are three pickup and drop-off locations.
When the shuttle is running, parking inside the horse track at the fairgrounds will be $10. When it's not running, parking there is free. Parking at all of the south and west lots will be $10 regardless of whether or not the shuttle is running.
The Tulsa State Fair begins September 25, 2014 and runs through October 5, 2014.
