REPORTS: Peterson Accused Of Abusing A Second Child

According to the Houston CBS affiliate KHOU, Adrian Peterson is being investigated for a second abuse accusation involving another one of his sons.

This accusation comes just hours after the former Oklahoma standout and current Minnesota Vikings' starter was reinstated by the Vikings. Peterson also released a full statement and apology earlier Monday declaring that he is “not a child abuser.”

The initial Tweet from the television station stated: “#KHOU #ITEAM Peterson investigated for another abuse accusation involving another one of his sons. More at 6!”

According to the report from KHOU, the most recent incident took place last June, while the boy was visiting Peterson at his home in Spring, Texas. The CBS affiliate obtained a photo that was allegedly texted by Peterson to the boy's mother showing a wound to the boy's head that has been covered by a pair of bandages. There are also reportedly more photos taken at a later date that show a scar over the boy's eye.
