The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office held a news conference to discuss the results of a three-year investigation into the sale and distribution of synthetic street drugs in Northeast Oklahoma.
Sheriff Stanley Glanz said officers are rounding up sellers of synthetic drugs like K2.
Authorities will be at convenience stores that are distributing these products knowing they are illegal, Attorney General Scott Pruitt said at the news conference.
"They are preying upon our children across the state," Pruitt said of the sellers.
The synthetic drug has been involved in numerous deaths, according to new Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler. His office is currently prosecuting a woman who was allegedly high on K2 when she caused a crash that killed a child.

"K2 is not just an addictive drug, it's a drug that kills," Kunzweiler said. "If you think this is an issue that is not going to impact you, you need to think again."
Undersheriff Tim Albin said the drug is marketed to children, has very unpredictable effects and is a huge problem for quality of life in Green Country. It's impacting the homeless population and certainly the jail system, he said.
Makers of K2 change the ingredients so frequently it is difficult for the legal system to keep up with outlawing the substance, Albin said.
Albin said they are serving 13 warrants at stores and a residence.
Deputies say the effort will "put a crippling effect into the trafficking efforts of numerous distribution locations in and around Tulsa County," a news release states.
