Oklahoma City police said someone fired multiple shots into a house from the parking lot of an elementary school early Friday morning.
The shots were fired around 1 a.m. Friday and police were notified after bullets went into a home near Coolidge Elementary School in southwest Oklahoma City. The school is located on S. Villa Avenue near S.W. 51st Street.
Police officers said the shots were fired from the back parking lot of the school. No one inside the home was hit.
Investigators found multiple shell casings scattered across the school's parking lot. A spokesman tells News 9 that officers do have a vague description of the getaway vehicle.
Police said they do not have any reason to believe this is gang-related. It is unclear at this time if the school plans to add additional security on campus on Friday due to this incident.
