A wanted man was taken into custody in Muskogee after a standoff between the Muskogee Police Department Special Operations Team and the United States Marshal Service ended in a house fire.
Around 7:30 Tuesday Morning, law enforcement served multiple warrants for Blake Holladay at 1225 Freemont in Muskogee, reports say.
Officials at the scene said Holladay refused to come out of the home and had made threats to use a gun to kill police.
After several more refusals to exit, a news release says the U.S.M.S. Task Force requested assistance from the Muskogee Police Department S.O.T.
Law enforcement said Holladay, again, refused to exit and members of the Muskogee Police S.O.T., “introduced CS gas into the first and second floors of the home.”
According the release, after the gas was introduced the home caught fire.
Holladay jumped out of the residence from a window near the second story and was taken into custody, according to the report.
Officials said Holladay was conscious at the scene and taken to an area hospital for evaluation.
The Muskogee Fire Marshal is investigating what caused the fire.
Holladay was wanted for:
Failure to pay (FTP) on Endeavoring to Manufacture C.D.S. and Child Endangerment.
Motion to revoke on bogus checks.
FTP on Knowingly Withholding / Concealing Stolen Property.
FTP on bogus checks.
Motion to revoke on Endeavoring to Manufacture C.D.S. and Child Endangerment.
