Two teens believed to be connected to a Texas homicide were located in Oklahoma Thursday night. Police tracked down the two at a motel just off I-44 in Sapulpa.
Authorities confirmed that one male and one female were taken into custody connection to the homicide of an elderly woman 180 miles away in Paris, Texas.
The Creek County Sheriff's Office, Sapulpa Police and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene where the suspects were eventually located.
Armed with their rifles, they surrounded the Motel 6 in Sapupla where the teens, who were considered armed and dangerous, were located in a room on the second floor.
Motel guest, J.B. Sadler said he was surprised to see cops outside his room.
"Step outside and I see this, and I'm like, 'What's going on,' and someone said, 'homicide,'" Sadler said.
Sapulpa Police Captain, Steve Taylor, said the suspects surrendered peacefully.
"We located the room they were in, and they called the room and they came out without incident," he said.
Investigators also found a silver car the young man and woman drove from Texas.
Right now Sapulpa police are waiting for a search warrant to enter the motel room where the two were staying.
No names have been released at this time.
