Tulsa Police Make Arrest In November Double Murder

Tulsa Police Officers arrested Quantell Alverson for the murder of Amanda Douglas and Jennifer Sanders.

Tulsa Police have made an arrested connected to a November double murder.

Officers arrested Quantell Alverson for the murder of Amanda Douglas and Jennifer Sanders. The two women were found shot to death at a parking lot in the 4400 block of South Garnett Avenue.

In a release, police said the investigation of the November 26th murder centered on finding a stolen 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix; police said it was the getaway vehicle.

Police said they located the car in December at an apartment complex and developed several leads as the investigation continued.

According to the release, a warrant was approved Wednesday for the 25-year-old Alverson, who was later taken into custody without incident.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and are expecting more interviews and possibly more arrests.

Jail records show Alverson is being held on two complaints of first degree murder.
