Glenpool Police Release Name Of Woman Killed In Alleged DUI Crash

Glenpool Police have released the name of the woman killed in a crash on Highway 75 at 181st Street South early Sunday, January 25, 2015.

Tulsa resident Katrina Michelle Taylor was killed when an GMC Yukon ran the stop sign at westbound 181st Street, according to police. She was a passenger in a Dodge Charger hit by Mounds resident Artussee Fields at about 1:30 a.m., officers said.

"There were definite signs that the driver of the GMC was intoxicated, so he was arrested for manslaughter," said Glenpool Detective Tracey Powell.

Fields was also held on a complaint of driving under the influence and running a stop sign.

The driver of the Charger, 36-year-old Christopher Dwayne Nicholson, was taken to the hospital with some injuries but is expected to be OK, Powell said.
