The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for a number of counties which surround Tulsa County Wednesday until 6 p.m.

The counties included in the alert are Creek, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Osage, Pawnee, Rogers, Tulsa and Washington.

Red Flag Fire Warning

The NWS says unseasonably warm temperatures combined low humidities and gusty southwest winds of 15 to 30 mph will "produce fire weather conditions that will support aggressive wildfire behavior."

News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says the high will be near 80 degrees ahead of a cold front which will enter Oklahoma late Wednesday and early Thursday. The front will cool things off on Thursday, with highs only expected in the lower 50s and upper 40s on Friday.
