Snow Falls On Much Of Northeastern Oklahoma

Winter weather showed up again Monday as several Green Country cities were impacted by snow.

A winter weather advisory was in effect across all of eastern Oklahoma until 6 p.m. Monday and the winter weather causing  several problems, especially for drivers.

The greatest travel impacts are felt along and south of Interstate 40 Monday afternoon. Where radar estimates show anywhere between reports of two to four inches of snowfall.

Roads in the Tulsa metro area are also slick in spots even though radar estimates show Tulsa and north of the city had significantly less snowfall with reports of two inches or less.

WARN Interactive Radar showed several bands of snow as they moved out of north central Oklahoma into northeast Oklahoma Monday.

Temperatures across eastern Oklahoma remained in the 20s Monday but according to News On 6 Meteorologist Dick Faurot, skies should be clearing and lots of sunshine Tuesday should get temperatures climbing into the 40s after starting in the teens.

Faurot said temperatures Wednesday will be similar to Tuesday, but cold air will arrive after making it difficult for temperatures to get above freezing Thursday and Friday.
