News 9 has learned that a lawsuit may be coming against the University of Oklahoma and President David Boren.

We spoke with attorney Stephen Jones, who said he has been contacted by the local SAE chapter about possible civil rights and contractual litigation against the University.

Jones is known for serving as Timothy McVeigh's lead defense lawyer.

The local fraternity board is also sending out a message, "Don't call us bigots and racists." That will be the possible defamation litigation against President Boren.

The board believes in his comments following the racist chant, Boren painted the entire fraternity with a broad racist brush.

Stephen Jones told News 9 he will likely hold a news conference on Friday. We will be there if that happens.

We reached out to the University overnight, but University officials have declined to comment on the matter at this time.
