Police arrested two teenage boys in connection to two armed carjackings overnight.
Officers say they were called to the Normandy Apartments in the 6200 block of East 38th Street at about 11 p.m.
A victim told police two teens came up behind her as she left her apartment, pointed a handgun at her and took her car keys, cellphone and purse. Police said the teens drove away in the victim's Chevy Cobalt.
Police said the teens abandoned the car when it got a flat tire.
Another victim called police at about 1 a.m. and said two teens had carjacked his Ford F-150 pickup at the Eagle Point Apartments in the 5800 block of East 71st Street.
Officers located the pickup near the Normandy Apartments and attempted to stop it. The teens got out and ran, police said.
Tulsa Police used their helicopter, K9 officers and a door to door search to locate two of the teens.
Officers said the pickup owner identified the pair as the carjackers and they were taken into custody. Police also took a 13-year-old girl into custody, but they say she's a witness and didn't take part in the crimes.
News On 6 spoke with the security guard of the Normandy Apartments who said he noticed the Ford F-150 driving recklessly on the sidewalk of the Rooms Today furniture store and called police to report the incident.
