Schlumberger says it's closing its plant in Broken Arrow.
Two weeks after announcing it's cutting 11,000 jobs worldwide, the company says it will close its facility in Broken Arrow.
Susan Ganz, Corporate Public Relations Manager – Western Hemisphere, released the following statement:
The continuing weakness in the upstream oil and gas industry combined with the abrupt fall in exploration and production activity has made management of our resources challenging. As a consequence, we have decided to close our plant in Broken Arrow where we manufacture shale shakers screens. We will be consolidating these manufacturing operations into our plant located in Florence, KY. No other details are available at this time.
