The Adair County Sheriff's Office is searching for an escaped inmate. He is still at large Sunday morning, and authorities now believe he's driving a maroon Mustang.
KFSM reports that 28-year-old Frank Potter is a white male, 5-foot-11, 145 pounds with black hair and hazel eyes. He has numerous tattoos.
The ACSO says Potter has a violent history and should be considered armed and dangerous. Sheriff David Hardin called him a survivalist who knows the wooded areas around Adair County well.
Potter escaped from the Adair County Jail Saturday by cutting a hole in the fence and scaling two other fences. He was last seen wearing an orange jumpsuit with a red, long-sleeved shirt.
Authorities say he went into a woman's home, demanded her car keys and stole a red, four-door Nissan Frontier truck around 12:30 p.m. Saturday. That vehicle has since been recovered.
