Three people were rescued by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in rural Pittsburg County flood waters Sunday evening.

Kevin Enloe, Pittsburg County Emergency Management Director said a man driving into a town got stuck in flood waters east of Savanna.  He says the man got out of his car and climbed a nearby tree.

Enloe says a seven rescuers responded and as two were rigging a line across the Peaceable Creek on Blanco Road to get to the man, they got into trouble.  The OHP responded with their boat and took all three to dry land.

He says all three are alright and were not injured.
