Tulsa Man Arrested After Threatening To Kill Sheriff Stanley Glanz

Police say a man who said he wanted to shoot Tulsa County Sheriff Stanley Glanz was arrested Monday evening after he fired his gun outside a Tulsa home and forced a driver out his car at gunpoint.

Officers were called to the home in the 400 block of East Latimer Place just before 8 p.m. The homeowner said Ramie Tiger, 34, told him he wanted help in killing the sheriff. When the homeowner refused, Tiger left and fired two shots into the air.

Police said that is when Tiger stopped a driver on Latimer Place at gunpoint, telling him he wanted to kill the sheriff and needed his car. 

The car's driver said he was a pastor and was headed to church. Tiger told the pastor he would return the car when he was done and drove off. 

Police arrived at the scene as Tiger's wife, drove up in the pastor's car. Officers said Lawanda Tiger, 32, told police where they could find her husband. Police went to College and Admiral and found Ramie Tiger and arrested him.

Police booked Ramie Tiger into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of kidnapping, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a firearm, threatening a violent act and armed robbery. His wife, Lawanda Tiger was booked on a complaint of possession of a stolen vehicle.

Jail records show Ramie Tiger is being held on a $219,000 bond and his wife on a $4,000 bond with a court appearance set for June 15.
