A midtown Tulsa neighborhood that had a family of owls as neighbors found a new addition to the family.

Back in May, one of the babies fell out of the nest and was rescued by a Tulsa police officer, it was quite the adventure.

Now, the babies have gotten bigger not only in size, but in number.

Jennifer Harmon is president of the neighborhood association and chief chronicler of the owls. She and her husband got curious about the nest in the tree across the street, took a look inside with a GoPro camera and saw an owl baby they'd never seen.

"There were two up there already, we were looking at ‘em, ‘oh, my gosh, there's three,'" Jennifer said.

We went into a neighbor's backyard to look for the third one, they named him Ollie.

We eventually found him and Jennifer pointed out dad, hanging out in a tree.

"If you peek over here you'll see him. He's looking straight down," she said.

This owl odyssey has been a good teacher. Jennifer's learned the males are smaller than females, there are some trees they don't seem to like to sit in and Blue Jays and owls are not friends.

What the owl watching has really done is bring her neighborhood closer together.

If you want to keep up with the owl family, you'll find lots of photos and videos of their adventures on Facebook at Barred Owls of Midtown Tulsa.
