A convicted mob boss and killer is handing out advice to some Massachusetts teens.

A group of students in a Boston suburb decided to research James "Whitey" Bulger for a competition on leadership.  They reached out to Bulger who is serving life in prison for 11 murders and a host of other crimes.

The teens were surprised Bulger wrote back -- and told the students quote "I know only one thing for sure - if you want to make crime pay - 'Go to Law School.'"

One of those murders was Tulsa businessman Roger Wheeler. Wheeler was found shot to death in the parking lot of Southern Hills Country Club in 1981.
