A Tulsa teacher is helping her students learn now, how they can save money on their electric bill when they grow up.
Lori Stuart teaches math and science to fifth graders at Chouteau Fine Arts Academy.
Tuesday, her students were given energy efficiency kits from PSO. The kits teach the kids what it takes to power everything from the refrigerator to their X-Box.
"It helps the students realize with real world situations, on how to conserve energy and that they do make a difference," Stuart said.
Mary Jackson with PSO, said, "You know, we all heard 'turn your lights off,' when you were a kid, and this is a fun way to teach them why we want to turn our lights on."
PSO said they have helped households across the state save more than $2 million on utility bills since the program started five years ago.
