A Tulsa mother and her boyfriend now have been charged in the death of a 6-month-old boy, records show.
The baby died on Saturday night after it went into cardiac arrest, investigators said.
Tulsa police said Anna Hyden left the baby in the care of Kevin Crawford while she was away. The couple and child lived together in “deplorable conditions” in an uninsulated shed, police said.
Crawford left the scene before paramedics arrived and transported the child to a hospital. Police found Crawford on Monday and he was arrested for methamphetamine and paraphernalia.
A warrant was issued on Friday for the arrest of Anna Hyden after she was charged with child neglect earlier in the day. Her boyfriend, Kevin Crawford, remains in the Tulsa County jail, and he officially was charged with child neglect, unlawful possession of a controlled drug – methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia on Friday.
Records show Crawford has previous convictions for manufacturing meth.
