Community members gathered Saturday night to honor and support an injured Bethany High School football player.

Hudson Haws was injured back in October during a game.

He spent months at a rehabilitation hospital in Colorado and is now back in Oklahoma.

His friends said this was the least they could do.

"Hudson is very close to some of them and friends of the family so we decided that we wanted to do something, and a benefit concert sounded like a great idea so we started doing this," Putnam City High School leadership director Eddie Wright said.

The benefit concert featured Denver Duncan and Matt Stansberry & The Romance. Each ticket was $20 and all the proceeds will go to the Haws family to help with medical bills.

By the way, News 9's Bobbie Miller emceed the event at Putnam City High School.
