New Flu Deaths Reported In Oklahoma And Tulsa Counties

Five people have now died in Oklahoma since reporting for the current flu season began in October, according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health. 

The latest deaths were in Oklahoma and Tulsa counties. 

Last week, OSDH reported three flu-related deaths.  Those deaths were in Tulsa, Rogers and Harper counties.

Compared to a year ago, this current flu season has been rather mild.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health recommends all Oklahomans six months and older get an influenza immunization if they have not already done so.

The OSDH said there are still several months left in the flu season.
