Copan Teacher Charged With Embezzlement

A Copan elementary school teacher turned himself in Tuesday on a felony charge of embezzlement.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office said Jordan Green worked with the PTO and was asked to distribute $2,400 to other teachers.

Investigators said Green kept $1,200 and claimed he used it to pay a medical bill.

The sheriff's office said Green paid back the money after he learned about the investigation.
