Police spent Friday afternoon working to find out what led to a man being shot and killed in his own home.
The fatal shooting happened near Admiral Boulevard, just west of 89th East Avenue.
"I just feel bad for the guy,” said the man’s neighbor Bryce Dorle. “I kind of cried about it."
Dorle lives nearby and says she heard arguing earlier in the day. Then later saw all the police.
"I don't want to live here anymore,” said Dorle. “Anyone can walk into the gate and shoot you."
Police say the shooting happened around 5:00 p.m. Three people were in the home: the father, the mother, and the son, who was identified as 28-year-old William Franklin Bly III.
It's not clear what led to the shooting, but police believe Franklin Bly III used a shotgun to shoot and kill his 55-year-old father.
"His chances of living were none at that point," said officer Dave Walker.
The suspect left the scene, but his mother stayed. She somehow injured her head and was taken to the hospital, police said .
"Good golly, her husband is dead and her son is the suspect,” said Walker. “I can't think of anything that would upset her more than that right there."
Neighbors we spoke to off camera say the suspect appeared calm when he walked down the street leaving the crime scene. After setting up a perimeter around the area, police spotted Bly in a flea market parking lot and took him into custody.
He was booked into the Tulsa County jail on a first-degree murder complaint and is being held without bond.
