From the time she was playing against older girls, a Muskogee basketball player has been wowing fans and opponents. Now, the Oklahoman is taking her talents to a national audience.

Muskogee's Aaliyah Wilson always possessed something special on the basketball court. In high school, she was a two-time State Player of the Year and ranked as a Top 5 guard in the country.

And, before committing to Arkansas, Wilson got her first college offer before high school.

"I'm grateful for all the accolades I've had, but I still haven't proved or gotten to where I want to be yet," she said.

This month, Wilson is representing Oklahoma basketball on the national stage. She was in the McDonald's All-American Game and put up 11 points.

"It was all a humbling situation that, in itself, spoke volumes because being around all those players, just being around all that type of talent - on the boys’ side and the girls’ side - it was just crazy and an amazing feeling," said Wilson.

She also got a chance to play in the Jordan Brand Classic.

Wilson said, "I might be a little nervous coming into the situation, like ‘dang, I'm really doing this,’ but I feel like it's going to be a great experience, you know, I'm very excited about it.  Of course, we have our laughs, joke around and everything, then, you know, whenever it's time to laced up, it's 'Who are You?"

Wilson said she relishes the challenge of facing the best competition in the nation, but she's kind of used to it - she faced some great competition growing up. Her older brother and sister played college basketball at San Jose State and ORU, respectively; and she learned from them to be the best.

"I've always watched them play on both ends of the court and I just kind of picked that up from them,” she said. "You just kind of build off of everything they do and see if you can reach a little bit higher."
