A fight at an Oklahoma City bar turned into a multi-agency high speed pursuit through several cities. The driver was finally caught after crashing his SUV in Union City, and is now in jail.
The chase ended in Union City nearly 20 miles from where it began in a bar parking lot.
For nearly an hour, the driver now identified by police as 35-year-old Todd Heinen, wound through Oklahoma City, Bethany, Yukon then Union City attempting to out run police.
Police said the whole thing started as a fight in the parking lot between Heinen and another man.
The fight started when Heinen accused the victim of taking something from his SUV, according to the police report. Then, the man took off running and Heinen chased after him in his SUV.
Police said Heinen knocked over two gas meters before speeding off, leading police on a chase. At one point, he was even driving the wrong way on I-40.
Police said he finally crashed in Union City near South 104th and Radio Street. Officers from Yukon, Union City, OKC, and OHP all assisted in Heinen's arrest.
